GB under-18 international Ryan Richards has had an impressive start with his new team.

The 6' 10" forward / centre, who's on loan to Swiss club BBC Monthey from Gran Canaria, had a 20 point, 11 rebound performance in just his second game...helping Monthey to a 79-73 win.

According to Richards' agent, the 18 year old had been been practicing with Gran Canaria's ACB team whilst the club waited for one of their imports to get their Spanish passport... a move which would have opened up playing opportunities for the Brit.

But Gran Canaria knew Richards needed more playing time against quality competition and opted to loan him to the Swiss league.

His manager also says Richards has been confirmed as a participant in the 2010 Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy - where over 30 NBA scouts will be in attendance.
