HEAT FLAME OUT IN OT
03/15/2010

The Heat lose a tight one, after a monumental comeback.

After getting their butts kicked by the Worthing Thunder 17 - 31 in the first period, the Guildford Heat looked down and out.

Chad McKnight wasn't going out like that though - and went off for 23 points in the first half as the home team closed the gap to 11.

They carried the momentum into the second half - and a dunk from Tayo Ogedengbe in the dying seconds forced overtime.

In the extra period, however, the Heat fell apart - eventually losing 96 - 102.

The victors were led by 23 points from Ville Makalainen, whilst Sherrad Prezzie-Blue added 20 points and Janis Ivanovskis chipped in 17 points.

For the Heat, McKnight had a career-high 39 points, whilst Tayo Ogedengbe notched 22 points and Julius Joseph had 14.
